What the prototype does

Solo play works offline. The online co-op prototype lets you create a private room or join one with a six-character code or invite link. Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous account; Firebase Realtime Database in europe-west1 handles room setup and connection signaling. The two devices exchange live game state directly through WebRTC, with one player acting as host. Full-shift completion, reconnection, and behavior across different networks are still being tested.

Data used for online rooms

Firebase assigns a random user identifier (UID); the game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location. The app stores the UID and a refresh token locally. Firebase Realtime Database stores a room code, host and guest UIDs, room status, creation and expiry times, and temporary WebRTC signaling data (offer/answer and ICE candidates). ICE candidates can contain network addresses. Google STUN and network providers may process connection data such as IP addresses; depending on the connection, a network address may also be available to the other player. Do not put personal information in a room code or game field.

Storage and your choices

Room codes stop accepting joins after one hour. The host normally deletes the room when leaving; if a session ends unexpectedly, expiry alone does not delete its database record, which may remain until manually removed. The anonymous Firebase account remains until deleted. The game currently has no in-app account deletion. Contact us below to request deletion. Clearing app data removes the local sign-in token but does not delete the Firebase account. You can play solo offline and avoid multiplayer. Solo progress and settings stay on your device.

Other information

The game currently has no ads, in-app purchases, analytics, chat, or third-party tracking. This website uses no trackers, cookies, or externally loaded fonts. Android, Google Play, and Firebase may process information under their own privacy policies. Tavolunio is intended for a general audience of teenagers and adults and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
