Support & Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some metrics (e.g. cycle count or discharge rate) show as "Unsupported"?

Android devices and hardware fuel gauge chips vary across manufacturers. BatteryNivo only displays genuine data reported by the Android BatteryManager API. If your phone OEM does not expose a specific sensor value, BatteryNivo honestly marks it as unsupported instead of fabricating a fake number.

How does the charge target alert (e.g. at 80%) work?

To preserve long-term battery lifespan, battery chemistry experts often advise charging lithium-ion cells up to 80–85%. You can set your desired threshold in BatteryNivo under Alerts. When reached, you'll receive a prompt notification, vibration, sound, or voice (TTS) alert to unplug your phone.

Can BatteryNivo physically stop the charging process automatically?

No. Standard Android apps without root access cannot disable hardware charging circuits due to OS security boundaries. BatteryNivo reliably notifies you the moment your goal is reached.

How do I add home screen widgets?

Press and hold on an empty area of your Android home screen, tap "Widgets", and scroll down to BatteryNivo. Choose from compact (1×1), medium (2×1, 2×2), or wide (4×1) widgets.

Does BatteryNivo drain battery in the background?

No. In Standard Mode, BatteryNivo relies on lightweight, event-driven OS broadcasts and draws essentially 0% idle energy. Continuous Monitoring uses an efficient, optimized foreground service designed for minimal power footprint.

How can I back up or export my battery logs?

Navigate to the More tab in the app and select Export Data. You can save your complete history as a CSV spreadsheet or JSON backup.
